I do provide a list a month of pro bono surgery at the Knysna Provincial Hospital, as a community service initiative. However, I do not control the patient booking or triage policies of the provincial hospital – patients will still need to see one of the doctors employed there for initial assessment and screening. Hospital policies are determined by medical needs as well as local, provincial and national health directives and are not under my influence.
